I agree that anime tracing is a figen epidemic in almost every category on DA. And all of these bases or 'blanks' that are made from badly traced screen shots. OMG I had no idea.

I will still defend the tracing of stock images with credit given, but yeah this is something else. I mean never mind the lack of effort, skill, legality, honesty ect. The stuff looks like shit. Why would any one use it even if they didn't have scruples? Any way yeah this whole "fanart" tracing issue is a whole other world of obnoxious. It makes me mad that I can't report these to DA and expect anything to be done.

If artist want to look down on individuals like me who have traced work honestly (with credit) and don't plan to remove it then that's fine (yes I am working to kick the habit, but am still proud of the work I produced). I don't have allot of time to fret about it. Any way that's all I had to say.

So long as you have PERMISSION and give CREDIT, and admit you trace -- sure, that's moral. Doesn't help the fact that the bases are ugly, though. xDDDD

But yeah. ): dA makes me sad, these days. TOTALLY not renewing my subscription, when we have a GD who doesn't understand us, who belittles our work with stupid rules and failing to live up to the existing ones, and a community that so cherishes art theft...
